Sephiria supports online co-op for up to 4 players, and a well-coordinated team can clear content that's nearly impossible solo. The key is role specialization — each player handles a different function rather than everyone running the same build.

No other Sephiria guide site provides specific 4-player loadouts with role assignments. This guide is built from community co-op gameplay and GrindnStrat's boss co-op role framework.

The Four Roles

RolePrimary JobRecommended Weapon
FrontlineClose-range pressure, stagger chains, draw aggroGreatsword
Ranged DPSSustained damage from safe distanceStaff (Plasma build)
Support/DebufferApply debuffs, crowd control, revive coverageCrossbow (Superconductor)
Add ControlClear summoned enemies, manage swarmsStaff (AoE) or Katana

Team Composition A: Elemental Chain

The most powerful composition, built around the Superconductor lightning debuff mechanic.

Player 1: Frontline Greatsword

Player 2: Plasma Judgment Staff

Player 3: Superconductor Debuffer

The Superconductor's +25% damage taken debuff stacks multiplicatively with the Plasma Staff's chain damage. In co-op, this synergy makes the build significantly stronger than solo.

Player 4: AoE Add Control

Team Composition B: Poison + Tank

A simpler composition for groups that prefer a debuff-focused approach.

Co-op Mechanics You Need to Know

Item Trading

Players can trade artifacts and items to each other. This is critical — if Player 2 finds a Crossbow-specific item, they should pass it to Player 3. Designate a loot-caller before the run starts.

Revive System

When a player goes down, teammates can revive them. The revive animation takes time, so designate the Add Control player as the primary reviver — they're typically in the safest position.

Shared Aggro

Bosses will switch targets. The Frontline player should use Greatsword stagger mechanics to maintain aggro. If the boss turns toward a ranged player, the Frontline should reposition to draw it back.

Artifact Sharing

Artifacts are individual — each player has their own inventory grid. But since items can be traded, plan your grid builds together. If one player is running the Plasma build, they need Magma Orb — everyone else should pass it to them.
