Stage 60 in Hard Mode is the ultimate DPS check in Sephiria. By this point, modifiers are stacked so heavily that most builds simply can't output enough damage. The Plasma Judgment Staff build is the community's cheese strategy — a build that converts fire burn into lightning chains for exponential plasma damage.

How the Build Works
The core mechanic is a damage conversion chain:
- Magma Orb applies fire burn to enemies
- Plasma Helmet (from the Fiaola's Judgment Staff path) treats fire burn as lightning触电 (electrocution)
- Thundercloud Compass triggers on lightning electrocution, chaining lightning between enemies
- Each lightning chain triggers more Staff of Embers fire effects
- The cycle repeats — fire becomes lightning becomes fire becomes lightning
The result is an infinite damage loop where a single hit can cascade into dozens of elemental procs. This is why the build can melt Stage 60 bosses that have 75% bonus HP.
Item Roles Explained
Magma Orb — The Igniter
Applies a fire burn DoT to enemies on hit. This is the starting point of the entire chain. Without Magma Orb, the build has no fire to convert into lightning.
Thundercloud Compass — The Chain
When an enemy is electrocuted, Thundercloud Compass shoots chain lightning to nearby enemies. Each chain hit can trigger more staff effects, creating the infinite loop.
Oink Shaman's Necklace — The Amplifier
Boosts elemental effect damage and extends the duration of status effects. This makes the fire burn last longer and lightning chains hit harder, giving the loop more time to build up.
Combo and Miracle Synergies
Embers combo enhances fire damage and burn duration. Magitech combo increases elemental damage conversion efficiency — critical for the fire-to-lightning conversion. Curse combo adds a debuff layer that increases enemy damage taken.
Chef miracle provides sustain through cooking mechanics. Electromancer miracle directly boosts lightning damage. Gambler miracle gives reroll flexibility for artifact selection — important when Vertigo modifier reduces your choices.
Step-by-Step Setup
Step 1: Early Game (Stages 1-2)
Start with Quarterstaff. Look for Magma Orb in early artifact rewards. If you don't find it by the end of Stage 1, restart the run. Don't invest in tablets that don't support fire/lightning.
Step 2: Mid Game (Stages 3-4)
Upgrade to Staff of Embers. Search for Thundercloud Compass. Prioritize Embers and Magitech combos. If you encounter merchants, reroll for Oink Shaman's Necklace or elemental amplification items.
Step 3: Late Game (Stages 5-6)
Upgrade to Fiaola's Judgment Staff. Ensure all three core items are in your grid. Position tablets to maximize fire and lightning artifact levels. The Plasma Helmet effect from Fiaola's path is what makes the build work — don't skip this upgrade.
Step 4: Boss Execution
Hit the boss once to apply burn. The chain reaction does the rest. Focus on dodging while the elemental loop ticks down the boss HP. Don't panic if the first few seconds seem slow — the chain needs a moment to build up.

Alternative Builds for Stage 60
If you can't get Magma Orb early, two alternative builds can push Stage 60:
Sacred Jar Companion Build
Weapon: Quarterstaff → Javelin → Sacred Jar. Core items: Mysterious Weight, Wings, Mining Overseer Armband. Combos: Sturdy, Wind Song, Companion. This summon-based build uses companion DPS to bypass the defense checks. Watch the no-hit final boss clear on YouTube →
All-in Poison Build
Weapon: Crossbow → Kagumede → Jagapbulgung. Core items: Black Tea Leaf Pouch, Red Cloth Piece, Neutralizer Black. Combos: Curse, Negotiation. The poison debuff stack scales with enemy HP, making it effective against high-HP Stage 60 bosses. Watch the poison build on YouTube →
